This is the list of Wikibooks organized according to the [[w:Dewey Decimal Classification|Dewey Decimal system]], a classification system that was originally established by [[w:Melvil Dewey|Melvil Dewey]] in 1876 for the [[w:Amherst College|Amherst College]] library. It has subsequently been adopted by many other public and private libraries in many countries and has stood the test of time as an adaptable system for classifying human knowledge.
To add a book to this classification system, use the following template:

Where <CLASS> is the Dewey number, rounded to the nearest 100, and <ID> is the specific Dewey number of the book. If you do not know the specific number for the book, you can leave the <ID> field blank.
