==Príncipios Principios Básicos ==
 
1. O hebraico utiliza 22 consoantes para sua escrita. O hebraico originalmenteOriginalmente nãoNão possui vogais, e é escrito apenas com consoantes, nas quaisQuais os sons vocálicos são inseridos de acordo com o contexto. No entanto, paraPara facilitar o aprendizado por parte dos iniciantes, alguns textos apresentam alguns sinais vocálicos (que veremos mais adiante) paraPara facilitar a leitura.
 
2. A direção do texto é da direita para a esquerda, de cima para baixo.
 
: Por exemplo, a palavra Paz ée escritaEscrita zaPzap ou '' 'שָׁלוֹם''' (molahS ou ''ShalommolahS''Shalom).
 
3. O hebraico não diferencia maiúsculas de minúsculas, ou seja, é escrito sempre da mesma forma.
 
4. Algumas consoantes assumemASSUMEM forma diferente quando são auma última consoante de uma palavra.
 
5. Seis consoantes hebraicasHebraicas —aposta bet-, guimelGuimel, dáletDalet, kafKAF, pê e taw —- podem aparecer com ou sem ponto dentro delas. Este ponto é chamado ''dageshlene lenedaguesh'' e é exigido quando começa uma sílaba nova. Ele muda o som da consoante.
